State-wide Steering Committee to Reduce Family Violence

This Committee was convened jointly by the Office of Women’s Policy and Victoria Police in 2002 to work towards an integrated response to family violence in Victoria. This Committee bought about significant change in the sector and has now become the Family Violence Advisory Committee.

State-wide Steering Committee to Reduce Sexual Assault

The State-wide Steering Committee to Reduce Sexual Assault was also convened by the Office of Women’s Policy and Victoria Police with a focus on improving responses to sexual assault in the areas of prevention, early intervention and criminal justice. This Committee has a focus on primary prevention and early intervention.

State-wide Steering Committee to to Reduce Violence Against Women in the Workplace

This Committee was convened by the Office of Women’s Policy and established a knowledge base about workplace violence against women in order to improve responses to this form of violence. This Committee concluded in 2006. A final report will be produced in 2008.
