Financial independence information tailored to women – online resources


Consultations with Victoria’s women have shown that women want easily understood information that is tailored to their financial situation and life stage.

The Office of Women’s Policy has produced fact sheets (PDF 735 kb) or (Word 70 kb) which focus on the situation of women and their money. Topics include:
  • Women and Superannuation
  • Women and Money Management
  • Wealth and Investing
  • Women Confidence in Financial Decision Making

The following resources provide practical information that can assist women in making better financial decisions.

  • Money and the single woman
  • Teaching your kids about money
  • What does it all mean? Understanding the language of money
  • Managing on a low income

A useful and informative brochure has been developed by the Australian Taxation Office to assist women to boost their retirement savings, with information on how to:
  • make the most of your super
  • increase your super savings, and
  • working towards being financially secure in retirement.
