Women and Money Month

Women and Money Month is an initiative of the Women’s Financial Literacy Project. The month is about helping women improve their money management skills through workshops, seminars and online information.

The Office of Women’s Policy worked in partnership with Linked page opens in a new window WIRE and the Linked page opens in a new window Queen Victoria Women’s Centre to develop and deliver these initiatives. Both the workshops and seminars received strong interest from women wanting to attend these initiatives and were well received.

The locations of the workshop programs for 2009 as well as the topics of the seminar series will be confirmed shortly.

In September 2008, the first ever Women & Money Month was launched by the Premier at the Annual Premier’s Women’s Summit. As part of the month, women from across the state participated in the Steps to Your Financial Future workshops and seminars.
