Annual Premier’s Women’s Summit
The 2008 Annual Premier’s Women’s Summit, ‘Women and Money’, will bring together many of the organisations committed to women’s financial decision-making and capacity.
The Summit is a way for the Victorian Government to advance current issues affecting women, from dialogue into action.
This year’s Summit will discuss the relationship women have with money within the context of their life stages and backgrounds. Sessions will examine how the development of women’s skills and confidence in financial decision-making can contribute to their financial independence.
The key question for all summit delegates will be: “What do we need to do to achieve greater financial capacity for women?”
Attendance at the Summit is by invitation only. To RSVP your attendance and register your session preferences, fill out the 2008 Summit registration form.
Previous Summits
Since 2000 the Premier has hosted a Summit each year as part of the Government’s commitment to a continuous conversation with women. Summit themes focus on emerging issues for women. Read more about the 2007 Summit, which was themed Women Into Work.
The Summits provide excellent networking opportunities, with past attendees stating their main reasons for attending as “being able to voice my views to Government” and “networking”.
Each year a Summit Outcomes report is produced to provide a summary of the issues raised and the creative solutions that were proposed at the summit. Read the reports:
