Conversations with Victorian Women
As part of the development of the new women’s policy framework 2008–12, the Office of Women’s Policy (OWP) conducted a series of consultations in November and December 2007: Conversations with Victoria’s Women. Eight regional consultations were held in Box Hill, Colac, Moonee Ponds, Murtoa, Narre Warren, Shepparton, Swan Hill and Traralgon, followed by a stakeholder consultation at the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre in early December.
The consultations provided OWP with valuable insights from a diverse range of Victoria’s women. The consultations will assist in the development of the framework by determining priority areas the government will focus on for 2008–12. The focus will centre on the following issues:
- Safety
- Financial security
- Health
- Housing
- Caring
- Transport
- Environment
- Government engagement
- Work
