Women’s Roundtables
A women’s roundtable is an excellent way to hear first hand the issues affecting women in the community. They are highly valued and extremely useful to the Minister for Women’s Affairs.
In 2007, Minister Morand hosted roundtable discussions in Birchip, Doncaster and Beechworth. Approximately 20 women from a variety of backgrounds participated in each of the discussions. Some of the issues covered include the impact of drought on women, childcare availability, family violence, employment options, isolation and transport.
There are a number of women’s roundtables planned for 2008. Please visit this website for regular updates.
