Contribute to the history of women who signed the 1891 Monster Petition

The Parliament of Victoria undertook a project in partnership with Public Record Office Victoria (PROV), for volunteer organisations to photograph and transcribe the names on the new window icon 1891 Monster Petition. As a result, an online transcription of the petition with a search function now appears on The Parliament of Victoria’s website.

PROV have now extended the project with information about the women who signed the 1891 Monster Petition. The website can include photographs and histories of the women who signed. It might also include academic research papers and other information about women’s suffrage.

You can contribute to the new window icon Public Record Office of Victoria Wiki. This allows you to contribute or link to stories about women who signed the 1891 Suffrage petition.
